Advanced Network Connectivity
Equipped with an E0: Ethernet wired network port (RJ-45), the Aruba AP-505 ensures reliable and high-speed connections. The port supports auto-sensing link speeds ranging from 10BASE-T to 1000BASE-T and MDI/MDX functionality, ensuring seamless compatibility with various network setups. The access point also features PoE-PD (Power over Ethernet) support, including 802.3af and 802.3at PoE classes (class 3 or 4). Integrating 802.3az Energy Efficient Ethernet (EEE) enhances energy efficiency and minimizes power consumption during periods of low activity.
Diverse Power Options
The AP-505 supports direct DC power and Power over Ethernet (PoE) for power flexibility. The AP operates efficiently without restrictions when powered by DC or PoE sources. In situations where both power sources are available, DC power takes precedence over PoE. Power sources are available separately, as the 500 Series Ordering Guide outlines.
Enhanced Connectivity Features
The Aruba 505 has a USB 2.0 host interface (Type A connector) capable of supplying up to 1A / 5W. The access point also integrates Bluetooth Low Energy (BLE5.0) and Zigbee (802.15.4) radio, empowering seamless communication with compatible devices. The BLE radio offers impressive transmit power and receive sensitivity, enhancing coverage and connectivity.
Intuitive Visual Indicators
Equipped with visual indicators (two multi-color LEDs), the Aruba 505 offers a transparent system and radio status visibility. These LEDs provide essential information at a glance, ensuring easy monitoring and management of the access point.
Efficient Power Consumption
The Aruba 505 is designed with power efficiency in mind. Its maximum power consumption varies based on power sources and usage scenarios, allowing you to optimize power consumption according to your specific needs. In idle mode, the access point demonstrates minimal power consumption, contributing to energy savings and operational efficiency.
